#centralheating

Today was all about getting Sylmara fit to live aboard in the freezing January gales. My main aim has been to install my new Nomad log burner which I recently purchased on ebay for £150! I haven never been more impressed with a purchase in my life. For the money the log burner came supplied with a carry case (this model is designed for Yurts bell tents etc) and flue with cap. Installing the thing was as easy as drilling a hole in the roof and shoving the flue through. I simply sealed with wood filler (I am no expert on the DIY at this stage).

The heater was fantastic today heating the boat up with wood foraged up on Berry Head. I even managed to brew up a cup of tea in the water heater attachment which was an extra £50 and bolts on the side. As I am completely skint at the moment following some spectacular bad luck all this was financed by Paypal without whom I would likely freeze to death.

I have a lot of work ahead of me to get the boat ready for the off but I love the fact that I will be onboard every day and I can start sailing in the mornings before my new casual work start @11am.

#Nomadstove in action on Sylmara.
